Stichting Maria Patricia Garcia started on May 19th 2009. The foundation’s main goal is to collect sufficient money for orphans (girls) of the Instituto Hijas the Maria Immaculada y Corredentora, at Bogota (Colombia), to be able to offer them the best possible future and to provide in their daily needs.

Sisters (nuns) work on a daily base in the institute to support the orphans.

Objectives of the foundation:

The main goal of Stichting Maria Patricia Garcia is to have a positive contribution to the situation of orphans in Bogota and to  give them a chance for a better future by:

• providing the basic service to be able to maintain the orphanage (basic needs, education and welfare)
• supporting local initiatives by supplying the financial means or the needed materials
• creating awareness in the Netherlands and asking for support for the orphans in Colombia
